Alfred Watkins ley

The Alfred Watkins ley is a ley line that stretches for 6.4 km (4 miles) across southwest Herefordshire and the Welsh border. It is named for Alfred Watkins.

• a ford at SO36702559 near a mound at Llancillo.
• Llancillo Church (SO36622557), in a beautiful setting amongst trees and fields. Dedicated to St. Peter, it has a Norman chancel, a 13th century font, and a Tudor doorway.
• an ancient chapel at SO34932520.
• a mound that Watkins considered to be a long barrow
• a very large moated mound, SO33982500, thought to be motte and bailey, at the hamlet of Walterstone.
• a ford at SO33182480 on the River Monnow.
• an aligned road.
