Alfred Kubel

Alfred Kubel (25 May 1909, Braunschweig – 22 May 1999, Bad Pyrmont)[1] was a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.[2] During Adolf Hitler's rule, Kubel resisted the Nazi government. After the war, in 1946, he became Prime Minister of Brunswick (Braunschweig). He served on the Volkswagen Group's advisory board from 1965 to 1970,[3] and held the position of Prime Minister of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) from 1970 to 1976.[4]
