The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Nuova or Nuova Giulietta or new Giulietta, was an automobile manufactured by the Italian car maker Alfa Romeo. The car was introduced in 1977 and while it took it's name from the original Giulietta of 1954 to 1965, it was a new design based on the Alfa Romeo Alfetta chassis (including its rear mounted transaxle). At the beginnning two engines were available: 1.3 L (1357cc, 95 PS) and 1.6 L (1570cc, 109 PS). Two years later was released 1.8 L (1779cc, 122 PS) and in 1980 Super Giulietta with 2 L engine (2.0 L, 130 PS). In 1981 was made many changes externally and internally, engines were same. 1982 was released new 1.6 L engine.

The largest market for the Guilietta was South Africa, and a very successful TV advertising campaign by Alfa Romeo produced good sales between 1981 and 1984. Central to this campaing was emphasis of the Guilietta's new 'aerodynamic' line, whic was carried over to the 75, and then the 33. The Guilietta was the 'last hurrah' for Alfa in South Africa before the appearance of the 164 and 156 in the 1990's

In 1982 Paris motor show was introduced Giulietta 2.0 Turbo Autodelta (175 PS), it had turbocharged 1962cc engine. Production version Giulietta Turbodelta had 172 PS engine. All turbo versions were black with red interior. Only 361 were produced. In same year was also introduced Giulietta 2.0 Ti and diesel (VM) 1995cc version with 82 PS. Before production was stopped in 1985 there was some minor changes to the car. The new Giulietta was replaced by the Alfa Romeo 75.
