Alex_yeshallno lives in Houston, Texas, and became a Wiki contributor on August 1, 2006. A geophysicist since 1977, he graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, degree in Geological Sciences.

In addition to nominal knowledge of earth sciences, Alex_yeshallno has familiarity with astronomy, astrophysics, atmospheric sciences, chess, photography, bicycle racing, and world history since 1956. He has traveled to Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, VietNam, the Phillipines, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Belize, Grand Cayman, the Bahamas, Aruba and other Carribean islands, Australia, Spain, Italy, France, England, and Libya.

In 2001, Alex_yeshallno climbed Kota Kinabalu on the island of Borneo, observed the Leonid meteors from the Australian outback, and broke his hand in a racecar accident at Phoenix International Motor Speedway. These experiences were made possible by stopping his career for a year.

Alex_yeshallno derives his Wiki name from the words cut into the limestone of the Texas Tower: Ye Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Make You Free.
