[edit] I am not Aleph0

Ok, I'm a new user and I'm a bit afraid someone might confuse me with | Aleph0. This is not my intention. I must say i wanted to chose the name "aleph0" (my usual gaming handle, actualy) because I like the idea of "smaller existing infinite". But well, 42 isn't bad either.

[edit] my goals

I really apreaciated using wikipedia these past few months, with at least one search per day, so i decided to get involved. However I do not intend to make any havy editing right now; rather, I'm checking in, showing my interest, and maybe doing some minor edits. The rest will come later, mainly when I'll graduate. I will then try to make wikipedia an even better learning tool and pop-culture knowledge repository.

[edit] who am I

I'm studying computer science and math in high-school, aiming for a job in research. I'm 21 years old; I am not (at least yet) giving my real name or country.

[edit] wikipedia phylosophy

I'm probably an inclusionist , in particular I think it doesn't hurt wikipedia to have thorough pop-culture and video-games related articles; for these articles I would be an immediatist (honnestly, who would need any battlefield 2 related article in 100 years ?), while being quite an eventualist for politic and historic articles. I think wikipedia is not paper, not an encyclopedia either but a website. What count is that it still exist and be popular in 100 years. So it needs pop culture video games and immediatly useful article to lure people now, so it keep growing. That's what happened to me for exemple.

[edit] hobbys

programming, video games (competitive ones eg:BF2), mangas (greatest I know: "Blame!"), anime (idem: FLCL), and Go.

[edit] things that will go in a box one day maybe

I use EMACS. I play on PC and hate the idea of playing on a console (it's just a trick of the companys to control the game industry better; that's why they try to impose that it's "a fact" that pc gaming is dying at the expense of console gaming. Plus, no mouse means autoaim in fps means rigging any competitive game)
