Welcome to my Wikipedia user page!

A few facts about myself:

  • I am a twenty-some-year old Wikiaddict from Hungary.
  • I work as a translator. I mostly translate English novels and movies into Hungarian.
  • My interests are: history (mostly of ancient Egypt), writing (sci-fi & fantasy, short stories based on history), the Internet, music, New Age spirituality and Wicca among lots of other things.

Oh yes, and I'm a Trekkie. And proud of it.

BTW Alensha means "full moon" in a language I created for a fantasy novel I'm planning to write. My real name is Anita but I prefer Annie.

Here in English Wikipedia I am the maintainer of Portal:Miskolc (updated monthly), since December 2, 2006, and co-maintainer of Portal:Hungary (with User:K. Lastochka), since June 2006.

In Hungarian Wiki I've written articles about cities, towns and villages of Hungary; I intend to translate them into English. In EnWiki I mainly write articles on Hungarian topics, not that I'm too much of a nationalist--it's rather because on the EnWiki pages pretty much everything else is already explored. In HuWiki I'm also notorious for rescuing articles that were doomed for deletion, for lack of sufficient content. Once the article is rounded out, the editors are surprised to find a good entry, wondering why did they nominate the piece for elimination in the first place. Eventually catching on, the editors realise the comical in the situation.

I give you this National Merit Barnstar for your extensive work on Hungarian (especially Miskolc :) related articles. - Serinde 17:05, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

I hereby award you the special Hungarian National Merit Barnstar for so effectively helping with the campaign to improve the 1956 Hungarian Revolution article. We couldn't have won the voting without your help, so köszönöm szépen! K. Lastochka 01:58, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
