[edit] Notability
Please try to find sources which would make it clear that this person fulfills WP:BIO (perhaps Wikipedia:Notability (journalists) is another option). Even more importantly, however, please try to make sure that it fulfills WP:V. Esn 04:48, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- This is vanity page. User Messir is Alexei Ivanenko (Алексей Иваненко). --the wrong man 00:08, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- It does seem to violate WP:COI. I've asked for a reappraisal of the deletion decision; there were four "delete" votes and four "keep" votes. Two of the "keep" votes were "weak keep", and two of the "delete" votes cited violation of WP:BIO, WP:BLP & WP:V. It seems to me that "no consensus" would've been a far more accurate way to appraise the situation. I think that the only reason this page was kept was the clumsiness of the original nominator; out of all the possible valid reasons, he chose one which would have the least support among wiki editors. - I've persuaded the closing admin to change the result to "no consensus". Esn 20:22, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, do you have any proof of that allegation? Esn 20:32, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Messir's nickname in LJ is "messir-yunus" (see link on his ru-wiki page), "messir-yunus" is Alexei Ivanenko (e.g., see this LJ entry). --the wrong man 21:08, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed
I question the neutrality and accuracy of this article, particularly the following points.
- The main concept of his philosophy is quranic term "kufr" (Arabic: كفر - closedness), which interpreteded as ideology.
- This is factually inaccurated as "kufr" does not translate as "ideology".
- Practice of deconstruction (mental jihad) help us liberate from this ideology.
- Help us? POV and possible COI.
- Ivanenko describe himself as a elf-muslim, where tolkien-base subculture provide us an instrument of cultural revolution and mental emansipation from kufr-power.
- An "elf-Muslim" ... ? Also, "provide us" ... again a possible POV/COI.
I am removing these contentious statements per WP:BLP. Please reinstate them if they are (somehow) accurate, but please also provide sources. -- Black Falcon 17:54, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article in ru-wiki
Note that the article about Alexei Ivanenko has been deleted from the ru-wiki [1]. This guy doesn't pass WP:BIO. --the wrong man 11:39, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Here's the direct link to the deletion discussion. By the way, does the term "postmodern philosopher" actually mean anything anymore? Considering the definition of "postmodernism" is highly fuzzy in any case... Since no sources have been found of anyone calling him a postmodern philosopher, I'm changing the line to "self-proclaimed postmodern philosopher". Esn 06:43, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
