[edit] Birth date / place

Where do we have the source for revised birthdate (now: 1985) and the new birth place (now: Dresden)? - Mauco 01:43, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I have a copy of her passport, but obviously I cannot put it online...any suggestions how to escape this dilemma? A.J.M

Sure! This is not the first time that this happened. The same thing happened with Cristina Patricia Odone, the wife of esteemed journalist Edward Lucas. She was born in Kenya but the only source for that was her passport and it was discussed here: Talk:Cristina_Odone. Initially, herself and her husband pointed out the birthplace, but that was not enough. It took the confirmation of a third party editor (in this case User:Alan Pascoe) to confirm by seeing a copy of the passport. The change was then made, and it is now permanent, in the sense that it is part of the stable version of the article and the change is made. If you want me to be the third editor here, just email me by clicking here and tell me a URL of where it is uploaded. If no such URL exist, I will email you right back, and you can then send it as an attachment (Wikipedia initially does not work with attachments). Then I will confirm, and we can let it stay in the article. This seems like the best way around this issue, and there is precedent for it. - Mauco 23:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
