[edit] User 4.158.231.51

User 4.158.231.51 asserted without comment or justification that The neutrality of this article is disputed.

I wrote this article after reading an obituary in The Times newspaper. I have no particular point of view about this man or the issues he faced, but simply summarised the details of his life from the obituary. I have no reason to believe that the newspaper gave a biased view of his life.
It would help if the person who is disputing the neutrality of this article would explain the problem he/she perceives with it. Then we can discuss and resolve the issue. Please elucidate below...

[edit] References

There seems to be some technical problem with the references. I will sort this out shortly. Bob BScar23625 19:54, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Why are the references in the article appearing twice at the end? I cannot avoid this duplication. Your help is appreciated. Bob BScar23625 20:09, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Only appear once for me. --pgk(talk) 20:13, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Using my usual browser, Firefox 1.0.7, I only get one copy of the references. However, I tried it with MS Internet Explorer 6.0 and it duplicates them - 1 is repeated as 4, 2 as 5 and 3 as 6. Netscape 7.1 also duplicates them. How curious! Anybody got any ideas? - Euchiasmus 21:20, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

The duplication appears on every route I use to access the file - MS, AOL (Google) and Firefox. I guess this is some system fault. I will leave it for now and see if it fixes itself over time. At present - Reference items 1&2 and 6&7 are duplicates and no amount of tweaking about gets rid of this feature. Bob BScar23625 04:24, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

It's not you. It's a known issue with Wiki. See WP Talk:Footnotes. Append ?action=purge (like this) to the end of the page URL to fix the issue, though it may return after you do more edits (others will not see it). Happens on all articles. Debuskjt 19:24, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Debuskjt. Thanks for the help, which has done the trick. How does one append that instruction to the URL?. Bob BScar23625 21:11, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

OK, I have cracked it. But you have to do the purge every time you do an edit. A clear system fault. I have never had this problem before and I have been a Wikipedian for around 1 year. Bob BScar23625 09:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
