[edit] Career
[edit] Current projects
Stewart currently co-hosts Whatever with Alexis & Jennifer, a show on Martha Stewart Living Radio carried on Sirius Satellite Radio. Stewart and radio partner Jennifer Koppelman Hutt talk about topics ranging from pop culture to personal relationships. The show is billed as being about "whatever" the two women are thinking, reading, or hearing.
[edit] Personal life
Stewart married John Cuti, an attorney, in 1997. Cuti served as a trial lawyer during her mother's legal proceedings alongside Robert Morvillo, her lead attorney. Stewart and Cuti separated long before the government indicted her mother (which happened in June 2003). They were not legally divorced until mid-2004, after the trial was over. Stewart said on Larry King Live and The Howard Stern Radio Show that she's dating someone new. She also admitted on her Sirius radio show and on The Howard Stern Radio Show to having a sexual relationship with a cameraman during production of The Apprentice.[1] While on Stern's program, she also said she wanted to have a child via a sperm donor.
Stewart and her mother have reportedly had a contentious relationship at times, but they became closer as Stewart grew older. Their relationship became stronger during her mother's legal battles and during the time she spent in federal prison at Alderson, West Virginia. Stewart was a frequent visitor and made a high-profile exit with her mother on a private jet escorting her to freedom (actually to home confinement) on March 4, 2005. There has been speculation that Alexis is being groomed as her mother's successor to lead Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, a report neither will confirm.
Stewart is a vegetarian and a supporter of PETA. [2]
