Alexandra Georgiana Eremia (born February 19, 1987 in Bucharest) is a Romanian artistic gymnast. Her best apparatus is the balance beam, where she has qualified to many international event finals and also collected many medals. She has an interesting routine, which starts with her trademark spilt mount which is a unique and beautiful skill.

Eremia had success as a junior gymnast before establishing herself as a strong senior. Eremia was the 2001 Romanian All Around Silver Medalist and was a member of the Romanian team at the 2002 Junior Europeans held in Patras, Greece where she placed fourth on the Balance Beam and won a silver medal with her team.

In 2003, Eremia was age eligible to compete as a Senior and was a member of the Romanian team that competed at the 2003 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Anaheim, California and won a silver medal in the team event.

In 2004, she qualified to the European Championships as a member of the Romanian team. Eremia won gold with her Romanian Team as well as an individual silver on the balance beam scoring a 9.575. However, it was the 2004 Olympics, where Eremia established herself as a star. She was a member of the Romanian team which won the team Gold Medal, along with Catalina Ponor, Silvia Stroescu, Oana Ban, Monica Rosu and Daniela Sofronie. Alex competed on the balance beam only, where she posted the second highest score of the night. She also took the bronze medal on this piece of apparatus.

After Athens, she continued her success but competing in World Cup events across Europe as well as winning more fans with her spunky personality which she is known for. In December 2004, she won another bronze on beam in the World Cup finals in Birmingham.

She didn't qualify to compete at the 2005 World Championships as she struggled with fitness after a year which saw Eremia caught up in controversy - including being caught sneaking from training camps to go nightclubbing.

Eremia retired in early 2006 as she had little chance of making the Romanian European team.
