Alexandra Byrne

Alexandra Byrne is an Academy Award-nominated costume designer.
Despite having Costumed only six films in her career, she has managed to establish herself as one of the greatest working Costume Designers in Hollywood, earning Academy Award nominations for three of her films — Elizabeth, Hamlet and Finding Neverland — and considerable acclaim for the other three — Persuasion, Captain Corelli's Mandolin and The Phantom of the Opera.
She was also nominated for the Tony Award in 1990 for Best Scenic Design for Some Americans Abroad.
She is married to actor Simon Shepherd with four children.
