Alexander White (Virginia)

Alexander White (1738–September 19, 1804) was an American planter, lawyer, and politician from Frederick County, Virginia. He was a delegate to the Virginia Convention in 1788 that ratified the U.S. Constitution and represented Virginia in the U.S. House from 1789 to 1793.
White was one of the three commissioners apppinted by President Washington to oversee the initial construction of Washington, D.C.. He served on this board from 1795 until it was dissolved in 1802.
