Alexander Rybak

Alexander Rybak (born in Minsk on May 13, 1986) is a Norwegian violinist, singer and composer.

In 2006 he won the talent competition The Grand Chance (Kjempesjansen) on NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) with his own song Foolin’. He was awarded the highly respected Anders Jahres Culture Prize in 2004. Alexander Rybak has collaborated with artists like a-ha’s lead singer Morten Harket and Arve Tellefsen. As of 2007, Rybak plays the fiddler in Oslo Nye Teater's production Fiddler on the Roof.
