Alexander Onischuk

Alexander Onischuk (born September 3, 1975) is an American chess grandmaster. Originally from the Ukraine, he is the 2006 U.S. Chess Champion and had a FIDE rating of 2668 as of December 2006. As of the October 2006 rating supplement Onischuk had a United States Chess Federation rating of 2702, ranking him 3rd in the United States, behind Gata Kamsky and Hikaru Nakamura.
