Alexander Baumjohann (January 23, 1987–) is a German footballer who plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach since January 2007. He started playing with Schalke 04 in 2000 and in contracted until 2007. In his youth he was signed up to Teutonia Waltrop (between 1991 and 2000). He is 5'10" tall and 11 stone.

Baumjohann occupies the midfield and sports the number 29.

He also has the distinction of being the player most likely to improve in the Winning Eleven / Pro Evolution Soccer games.

On January 27, 2007 he made his German Bundesliga debut with Mönchengladbach against Energie Cottbus [1]
