Alexandair

Alexandair is a charter airline based in Heraklion, Greece. It is a start-up carrier initially operating only charter services using a single aircraft.

On 20 August 2005, the aircraft was grounded for one day, by the Greek aviation authorities, for technical problems. Comments from customers about the safety of the aircraft, as well as the quality of service are negative.[citation needed]

The MD-82 is ex-Austrian Airlines and was delivered to the airline in April 2005.
