Alexander James Shepherd CA (born 13 October 1946 in Toronto, Ontario) was a member of the Canadian House of Commons from 1993 to 2004.
Shepherd was an accountant based in Seagrave, Ontario when he became the Liberal party candidate for Durham electoral district in the 1993 general election. He won the riding and was re-elected there in the 1997 and 2000 general elections, serving in the 35th, 36th and 37th Canadian Parliaments respectively.
