Alex Gregory is a British independent film maker. He developed a cult, underground following in South England after a string of powerful short films and more recently, some feature length releases. Making his name as a 'completely independent' film-maker. He has a reputation for not releasing his products through distribution companies and the like. He prefers the films to be passed around through word of mouth.

Alex was born in Reading (near London) in 1980. At the age of four he moved with his mother, Freja, to Bristol. He spent much of his youth in the village of Rockhampton. His first experience of film making was at the age of eleven when he entered a media competition at school and won with his documentary, 'Rockhampton: Shadows Of A Village' At the age of sixteen he made a short film which first gained him recognition in Bristol. It was called 'Savage' and was based on his younger brother's descent into insanity. The part of his brother 'Michael' was played by his best friend, Sam Rastrick. Over the next few years he made a string of short films that gained him more and more recognition in the south west of england. At the age of twenty-two he moved to Brighton and made his first feature length picture, 'Room to Breathe' which was an internet smash hit and is considered by many as hs best work to date. Since then he has made a further three feature length films aswell as one short and is currently working on a new feature length entitled 'Two Month Talk' which has gathered much excitement surrounding it's release. It has been described by friends and collaborators as 'Alex's best' and 'potentially a generation moulder'.
