Detective Inspector Alex Cullen was a character in the long-running ITV drama The Bill. He was played by Ged Simmons.
Alex arrived at Sun Hill in 2000, following the CID clear-out caused by the Don Beech Scandal. Alex had been appointed by Tom Chandler in the hope that he would be a useful ally.
The character was dropped from the series after 17 months by producer Paul Marquess. Realising that Chandler was using him Cullen blackmailed Chandler into granting him a transfer.
