Alex Brimeyer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alex Brimeyer, also known as Prince Alexis d'Anjou de Bourbon-Condé Romanov-Dolgoruky (? - 1995), claimed to be the grandson of Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia. [1] He claimed that Maria escaped to Romania following the assassinations of the Romanov family in July 1918. In Romania, Maria was said to have married and had a daughter, Olga-Beata. Olga-Beata then married and had a son. [2] The Dolgoruky family and the Association of Descendants of the Russian Nobility of Belgium, sued the claimant in 1971, alleging that he was a Belgian citizen named Alex Brimeyer. Brimeyer was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Brimeyer died in 1995 in Spain. [3]
