Alexander J. Albrecht (born August 14, 1976 in Vienna, Virginia) is an American television personality who resides in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. He is best known for co-hosting the former TechTV television program The Screen Savers, an hour-long computer and technology variety show. On November 11, 2004, Albrecht, along with many other co-workers at TechTV, was terminated.

He graduated from American University with a degree in computer science, worked for the RAND Corporation, and later worked for the Science Applications International Corporation. In 2001, he founded the improv-comedy troupe The Misfit Toys, which performed live in L.A. until 2003.

Albrecht currently appears in Dell commercials. He and former The Screen Savers co-host Kevin Rose are now seen weekly on Diggnation, a Revision3 video podcast that summarizes a selection of the top stories submitted by Digg users. Albrecht was featured in "SWGack", a weekly podcast on the popular MMORPG, Star Wars Galaxies. On March 4th, 2006, he and Joshua Brentano announced on their last episode that they would discontinue the podcast due to disenchantment with the game itself. Albrecht announced via his blog on November 8th, 2005 that he would be creating a weekly cooking show, titled "Ctrl+Alt+Chicken", and "Outsourced", a weekly Internet sitcom, for Revision3. Albrecht co-hosts a podcast called "The Totally Rad Show", with Dan Trachtenberg and Jeff Cannata. The first episode was released on March 27, 2007.

Alex and Co-host for Diggnation, Kevin Rose also appeared in a Super Bowl ad for GoDaddy.com during Super Bowl XLI.

Alefox (alternately spelled "Allefox") is a Mozilla based web browser which is available for Mac OS X. There is also a "lite" version for Windows which only replaces the throbber.

Alefox was inspired by Alex Albrecht on the weekly video podcast entitled Diggnation. During Diggnation Episode 55, Albrecht mentioned the Alefox concept as a joke, claiming that if he had a web browser named after him, it would crash only on Macintosh and be extremely secure. Shortly after the podcast was released, a fan of the show StephenCIreland (also known as StephenC_IRL) developed the browser.

The browser is currently in very early stages of development. Shortly after it was released, it was made open source and can now be found on SourceForge (links below).
