Ales Steger

The Slovenian poet Ales Šteger (b. 1973) was born in Ptuj, Slovenia. He studied Comparative Literature and German at University of Ljubljana. He has published three volumes of poetry: Sahovnice ur (Chess desks of Hours) 1995, Kasmir (Kashmere) 1997, Protuberance (Protuberances) 2002 and a prose book on Peru Vèasih je januar sredi poletja (January In the Middle of Summer) 1999. His books have been awarded and translated into several languages. He lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
