Alekhine's defense, Modern variation, 4...Bg4

In chess, B05 is the ECO code for the Alekhine's Defense, Modern Variation, 4...Bg4 chess opening. The game begins 1.e4 Nf6 2.e5 Nd5 3.d4 d6 4.Nf3 Bg4. Black's last move is a natural response to White's buildup in the center. By pinning the knight, Black undermines White's center development. Champions of this opening include Vladimir Bagirov, Lev Alburt and Vladimir Kovacevic.
