Alejandro Romualdo

Alejandro Romualdo (1926 - ) is a Peruvian poet of the 20th Century. His most famous work is the Song of Tupac Amaru, exalting the revolutionary spirit of that 18th century leader. This poem won a Peruvian National Prize for Poetry in 1997. It glorifies the Peruvian independence movement.
