Alejandro Daniel Wolff

Alejandro Daniel Wolff is an American diplomat who is the acting U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations [1][2] until a replacement ambassador is appointed. He was made the representative after the resignation of John Bolton on December 9, 2006. Previously he had been the Deputy U.S. representative to the United Nations.
He graduated from UCLA in 1978. He has been a member of the U.S. Foreign Service since 1979, and deputy U.S. Chief of Mission in France from 2001 to 2005. He is married, with two children, and speaks French and Spanish.
