Aleema Keto is a fictional character in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

She and her cousin, Satal, learned from their Masters about the ancient Sith Empire which instigated the Great Hyperspace War in 5,000 BBY. They were heirs to the throne of the Empress Teta System. Bored, spoiled, and rich, she and Satal formed a secret society that dabbled in Sith magic called the Krath; because the Tetan system was one of the main combatants in the Great Hyperspace War, the system had a rich trove of Sith artifacts and tomes, which these misguided elites used to the best of their ability. During a trip to the Galactic Museum on Coruscant, she and Satal stole a book of Sith lore, which they were unable to read. After hearing a rumour about dark side adepts in Onderon, the pair traveled to the war-torn planet onboard the Krath Enchanter to find the practitioners and learn the secrets of the book. They arrived on Onderon to find a massive battle taking place. Their ship was shot down and crashes in the capital Iziz, where they are brought before King Ommin.

Pleased to see the ancient Sith text, Ommin gifted them with a Sith amulet which allowed them to read Sith texts. He also showed them the captive Jedi Master Arca Jeth, who had been hung on a wall and was continuously being tortured with Sith magics. From the book, they learned many ways to harness the power of the dark side through Sith incantations. Aleema soon discovered that she was especially adept at creating illusions. While a scribe translated the text, Freedon Nadd, the deceased Dark Lord of the Sith, appeared. With Republic forces and Jedi Knights invading the city, Nadd realised Ommin had failed; he convinced Aleema and her brother that they held the key to restore a new Sith Empire and that he would guide them. Eventually, the Jedi stormed the palace and Ommin was slain by Ulic Qel-Droma in the last battle of the Beast Wars. Nadd would be unable to guide the two, as his spirit was trapped by his sarcophagus, which the victorious Jedi encased in Mandalorian Iron and buried in a remote section of the demon-moon Dxun.

Aleema and Satal fled Onderon, with as large a collection of ancient Sith artifacts and texts as they could carry. Armed with her new Sith knowledge, Aleema founded a new Sith Brotherhood, and she was instrumental in bringing down her parents, tricking them with horrible images of Adegan Eels and terrible lizards. However, the citizens of the Empress Teta system rebelled against their brutal and decadent new Krath rulers. A Jedi was sent to deal with the Krath. However, she used her powers to create illusions of space grazers to fool the task force during the Battle of Koros Major. Her mind was penetrated by Nomi's Battle Meditation.

After that, she and Satal used Krath War Droids to attack a Jedi assembly on Deneba. During the assault, the Jedi Master Arca Jeth was slain and his student Ulic Qel-Droma swore revenge on the Krath. Convinced that conventional methods had failed, Ulic infiltrated the capital world of Empress Teta system Koros Major, intending to subvert the Krath from within. During a skirmish in Koros Major, Aleema was nearly assassinated, and was narrowly saved by Ulic. As a reward, Aleema took him as a lover and appointed him her chief general. However, her brother Satal was suspicious of Ulic, and jealous. He interrogated and tortured Ulic in the dungeons of the Iron Citadel. Despite becoming convinced that he was not a Jedi spy, Satal injected Ulic with Sith poison, ensuring his fall to the dark side.

Satal would later discover the truth about Ulic, and challenged Ulic to a duel. Ulic drew deeply upon the Dark side and eked out a victory- but the temptation and the poison fully induced him to the Dark side. Aleema then took Ulic has her partner and they became the rulers of the Krath. Later, during the Sith War, the pair along with the Dark Lord Exar Kun and their Mandalorian allies waged war on the Republic. During an assault on Coruscant, she allowed Ulic to be captured by the Jedi. However, Ulic was rescued by his master, Kun.

Near the end of the war, Aleema and the fallen Jedi Crado tried to destroy the combined Republic/Jedi fleets in the Cron Cluster. Her knowledge of the Sith lore was augmented by the use of certain Sith weapons, one of which was the ancient starship used by Naga Sadow when he eluded the Republic in the Denarii System, and which he had buried on Yavin 4 (and Exar Kun had recovered). She attempted to use Sadow's crystals to rip the core from a star and hurl it at the fleet. Although she succeeded in destroying the starships, she failed to control the power she wielded. The abrupt absence of the entire core of a star caused it to suddenly collapse inward, and then rebound, in a nova. The nearby stars, which were nearing their own supernova as well, triggered, creating an intense, multi-star supernova. The supernova engulfed three Auril systems and the Jedi planet Ossus. Caught in the blaze, Aleema and Crado were killed along with their Jedi pursuers Dace Diath, Shoaneb Culu, and Qrrrl Toq.
