Alderley, Gloucestershire

Alderley is a village and civil parish in the Stroud district of Gloucestershire, England, about fourteen miles from Stroud, and near to Wotton under Edge (grid reference ST770910). The parish has a population of 144 (2001 census). It is on the Cotswold Way and is near to the hamlets of Hillesley and Tresham.
The village contains several interesting buildings. According to Pevsner, Alderley Grange is dated 1608, whilst the church (St Kenelm) is rebuilt (1802), but the tower is c1450. Situated right next to St. Kenelm's church is Rose Hill School which is an independent day preparatory school.
