[edit] History
Today's Aldergrove is part of Stó:lō territory, but not long after British Columbia joined in Canadian Confederation, European settlers began to set up homesteads near Yale Road and Jackman Road, naming the area after the once common Alder trees. Before the turn of the century, a post office, a customs office, an elementary school, and a number of small stores had opened.
