I live in Minnesota in the United States. I am a native speaker of English and I have "studied" German for about 3-5 years and am still at a basic level. I plan to take High School Spanish I and II next year and the next. Wait, I again plan to take High School Spanish I and II next year and the next. I am now taking German courses from an internet source and will be given a credit for it. After taking German I hope to travel there to improve my skills if I have any. After that, who knows. I think Korean or Arabic sounds interesting.

One of my accomplishments that I am most proud of is how I traced my ancestry back all the way back to 1390, by myself (with the help of my grandmother's knowledge of her family, etc.).

On my father's side I am Swiss, English, Irish, Austrian, and German.

On my mother's side I am Dutch and German with a pinch of French and Belgian.

Put that all together and I'm American.

Some notable (distant) relations to me are Henry Livingston Jr., author of "The Night Before Christmas".
