We don't have Krauss-Maffei listed as a diesel builder. Six cab units and 15 hood units were imported into the US for use on the D&RGW and SP railroads. The DH643 was part of the Southern Pacific's testing program for Hydralic Drive Diesels. Alco cataloged, but never sold a DH650 diesel model that would have produced 5000 horsepower. --SSW9389 17:19, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
