Talk:Albino Vargas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why is this page continuously changed to say something incomplete?

This is a fact:

Most of these rallies have been characterized by insults, loud music, nonsense, threats...but no clear content or message.

Additionally, he has been noticed to be "gay supporter, irrational, selfish and an individual that does not like to dialogue about the issues".

Look, you can't just assert that things are "facts" on Wikipedia without providing sources. I have just NPOVed the article. If you want to put information about his activities in, please provide solid, reliable sources to verify it, and remember under any circumstances that Wikipedia articles must always retain the neutral point of view. What you may think about Vargas personally is irrelevant: Wikipedia is a resource for information, and does not construct arguments one way or another. -- TinaSparkle 12:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

THESE ARE NOT ARGUMENTS. IT'S THE TRUTH AND I'M ALMOST SURE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THIS PERSON. I CAN SUPPORT HIS COMMENTS SINCE I LIVE IN COSTA RICA AND I KNOW ALBINO VARGAS. AS PER YOUR COMMENTS, THIS SITE SUPPORTS "NEUTRAL" POINTS OF VIEW. WELL, A GOOD SITE SHOULD SUPPORT THE MAJORITIES POINT OF VIEW. WHOMEVER HAS POSTED, IS NOT INSULTING.

This is ridiculous. The author of this post has decided to use Wiki as a platform to express his personal opinion on a range of very controvosial political issues in contemporary Costa Rica. The references to "gay supporter" are clearly an attempt to slander Mr. Vargas by appealing to very base prejudices. Doesn't Wikipedia have any moderation of standards of discourse, at the very least that they not be outrageously slanderous?! Or is it incumbent upon us to perform this function by editing?
