Albrecht Mayer

Albrecht Mayer is principal oboist for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
He was a student of Gerhard Scheuer, Georg Meerwein, Maurice Bourgue and Ingo Goritzki, and began his professional career in as principal oboist for the Bamberg Symphonic Orchestra in 1990. He joined the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1992.
Mayer's instrument is a Buffet Crampon Green Line Oboe.
