In 1914, Peter Hunter's life changed when the mystical Green Knight bestowed him the Pendragon spirit-power once belonging to Herne the Hunter and Merlin, becoming the British hero, Albion. During World War I, he became a great hero for the British nation.
Appearing in the modern era, Cam McClellan, a student of Hunter's, was possessed by the Pendragon power. Hunter and fellow Pendragons Ben Gallagher, Union Jack, Kate McClellan, went to Joselito, Spain, where they encountered the Bane's pawn, Francesca Grace. Hunter convinced Cam to return the Pendragon power to him, allowing him to become Albion.

[edit] Fictional character biography
Albion is from a world where a war that began in 1914 did not end in 1918, whether this is World War 1 is unknown. The global struggle had gone on for a century and civilization was reduced to ruins from it. Albion was a Captain Ranger on his world and got his weapons off of the dead. Merlin and Roma appeared and gave him the choice between the Amulet of Right and the Sword of Might. Albion chose the sword and was the first to do so. Roma wanted to take the power from him, but Merlin forbid it. Albion swore vengence on Roma for letting his world suffer. Albion then cleansed the world. His exact words were " The War wasn't over in a day or even a year. "But the End did come". "It wasn't a matter of defeating a single Country or even a continent. We Had to cleanse the entire world". The World is ravaged by disease and famine and all the cities are reduced to rubble from a century of global conflict. After this he attacks a Warlord who is being backed by interdimensional slavers. A Captain Britain appears and asks him to spare the Warlord who is begging for mercy. Albion kills him then fights and defeats the Captain Britain. During the fight the Captain Britain knocks Albion's mask off and asks if he Is Brian Braddock because he resembles Brian Braddock(Captain Britain 616). Albion recounts that the name meant nothing to him. Albion then interrogates and kills a slaver. He takes the Captain Britain through the portal to his world. Albion then kills the Captain Britain and swears to conquer his world with the troops he brought from his world. He has allied with the female Captain Britain, Lionheart. He seems to act like her mentor and has a dispute with Brian Braddock, the current male Captain Britain. Albion trained Kelsey for a while after she left the Avengers, and later manipulated her to attack Captain Britain. When Kelsey failed to defeat him, the two left the scene to plan a next attack. Albion later reveals that like him she chose the sword of might over the amulet. They are allied with Black Air and the Evil X men. He has sworn to kill Brian Braddock and the rest of the Captain Britain Corps.
