Alberto Cinta

Alberto Emiliano Cinta Martínez (b. June 5, 1970 in Mexico City) is a Mexican economist and politician affiliated to the New Alliance Party (PANAL) who ran unsuccessfully as the PANAL's candidate for Head of Government of the Federal District in the 2006 Federal District election.

Cinta is the son of lawyer Alberto Cinta Guzmán. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) where he studied from 1989 to 1993. From 1994 to 1995 he pursued graduate studies at the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) where he received a master's degree in public administration and political economy. He also holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University.

He is the founder of Cinbersol S.A., a company that owns and operates restaurants such as Landó Grill, Restaurante Lamm and Ivoire.

In 1995 Cinta joined the public service working for the President of the Republic's office as Director of public opinion analysis under President Ernesto Zedillo of the PRI. From 1999 to 2000 he served as advisor for Francisco Labastida's presidential campaign (PRI). From 2003 to 2005 he served as Director of the Centro de Estudios Sociales y de Opinión Pública of the Chamber of Deputies.
