Alberto Becerra

Alberto Becerra Acco (born January 31, 1979) is a Mexican soccer goalkeeper who currently plays for Club América in the Mexican First Division.

Becerra debuted professionally for Club América on March 31, 2000 - in a game against Santos Laguna in the Verano 2000 season. After receiving 11 goals in 5 games that season, Becerra saw almost no action for the following two years, eventually rejoining the senior squad during the Apertura 2002, playing in 3 games. The following season, Becerra allowed a career-worst 13 goals in just 3 contests.

Before the Clausura 2004 season, Becerra was transferred to CF Puebla, where he was reserve goalkeeper behind Oscar Dautt. After three seasons in which he saw no action at Puebla, Becerra was shipped back to America, where he currently serves as the third choice goalkeeper, behind Francisco Guillermo Ochoa and Armando Navarrete.
