Alberta provincial highway 58

Alberta provincial highway 58 is an east-west road in north-western Alberta, connecting the village Rainbow Lake with the town of High Level then continuing east to John D'Or Prairie.

The road is an important connector for the oil and gas operations centered in Rainbow Lake.

The road is 281 km long (139 km between High Level and Rainbow lake).

Rainbow Lake Airport (IATA: YOP, ICAO: CYOP) is located at the westernmost point of this road.

• Highway 35 (Mackenzie Highway), west of High Level (58°30′25.4″N, 117°08′25.0″W).
• at the western extremity, highway 58 continues with a winter road (called Border road/Powerline road/Sierra road) (58°29′17.7″N, 119°26′12.1″W), that connects to Highway 97 (Alaska Highway) in British Columbia at the town of Fort Nelson. This is one of the very few road connections between northern Alberta and northern British Columbia.
