Albert McQuarrie

Sir Albert McQuarrie (born 1 January 1918) was a British Conservative Party politician.
McQuarrie was educated at Greenock High School and the Royal College of Science and Technology, Glasgow. He became a design consultant and served as a councillor on Greenock Town Council 1949-55.
McQuarrie contested Kilmarnock in 1966. He was Member of Parliament for Aberdeenshire East from 1979 to 1983, and for Banff and Buchan from 1983 to 1987, when he lost his seat to future Scottish National Party leader Alex Salmond.
