Albert G. Burr

Albert George Burr (1829 - 1882) was a United States Representative in Congress from the state of Illinois for two terms (serving from March 4, 1867 until March 3, 1871). He was a member of the Democratic Party.
Prior to his election to the U.S. House, Burr practiced law in Winchester, Illinois and served from 1861 until 1864 in the Illinois House of Representatives.
Burr did not run for re-election in 1870 and resumed the practice of law in Carrollton, Illinois. In 1877, he was elected as a circuit judge, a post which he held until his death in 1882.
