Albert College is a co-educational independent boarding school in Belleville, Ontario. It is the oldest co-ed boarding school in Canada as it was founded in 1857. It currently has an enrollment of approximately 300 students representing 24 differnet countries. There have been over 4,000 alumni of the school, representing 43 different countries. The school is comprised of a Junior School (junior kindergarten to grade 6) and a Senior School (grades 7 to 12 and post-diploma) as well as three residences for boarding students.
Boarding students are divided into three houses which are Baker for boys in Grade 7 to 10, Graham for boys in Grade 11 and 12 and Victoria Manor for all boarding girls. There is a Day House for day students, who come mainly from Belleville, as well as the nearby communities of Picton and Kingston. Albert College's facilities include a chapel, dining hall, an "A" (arts) wing and an "S" (science) wing. It is the only independent school in Belleville. Albert College's motto is "Paci Artibusque, Pacis Faveo," or "We favour peace and the arts of peace." Albert College offers a wide range of sports from competitive swimming, to lacrosse. It offers teaching for grades kindergarten through to post diploma level.
