Albany City School District

The Albany City School District (also known as the City School District of Albany) is the public school district of Albany, New York. It has twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, one comprehensive high school, and several other institutions of various types serving nearly 10,000 students. The district's offices are located in Academy Park, across the street from the New York State Capitol. The current superintendent is Dr. Eva C. Joseph. In 2006, the district announced a partnership with the National Urban Alliance for Effective Education (NUA).
