Alban Berg Quartet

The Alban Berg Quartet is an Austrian string quartet that was founded in 1971 in Vienna.

Its members are:

  • Günter Pichler (violin)
  • Gerhard Schulz (violin) (previously Klaus Maetzl)
  • Isabel Charisius (viola) (1981-2005: Thomas Kakuska; 1971-1981: Hatto Beyerle)
  • Valentin Erben (cello)
