Alan Rogers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alan Rogers (born January 3, 1977 in Liverpool) is a footballer, currently playing for Accrington Stanley. He previously played for Tranmere Rovers, before moving to Nottingham Forest in 1993, spending several seasons there before leaving for Leicester City. His main position was left-back. He returned to Forest in 2004, but was a shadow of his former self. After a reasonable start, his career foundered and he was in dispute with a number of managers. He went on loan to Hull City and after a spell with Bradford City, joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on January 3, 2007. He was sent off on his Accrington debut after a dangerous tackle on Notts County's David Pipe. Pipe was sent off for his reaction.
