Previously a hockey sports writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer, Al has been a co-host for the show since the early 1990s. Al is known for not speaking much unless offering a “dry” humorous inject or a commentary on a subject that really interests him. He was also a regular hockey analyst for ESPN and now CSN. He is also a regular columnist for all seven Philadelphia area daily papers owned by Yardley, Pennsylvania-based Journal Register Company. Al also does Flyers interviews for Comcast SportsNet, and is a regular on local Comcast SportsNet talk shows.
Al is also the founder of the annual Wing Bowl, in which thousands of people watch a competition as to who can eat the greatest amount of buffalo wings within a certain time period.
