Al Minufiyah Governorate

Al Minufiyah (Arabic: المنوفية ) is one of the principal governorates of Egypt. It is in the north of the country (south of Gharbiyah and north of Cairo ) and its capital is Shibin el-Kom. The main towns are Quesna, Tala, Bagour, Menouf, Ashmoun and Sers el-Lyan. It is an agricultural governorate.

This governorate is known particularly for being the birthplace of two Egyptian presidents: Anwar Sadat (1918-1981, born in Mit Abul Kom) and Hosni Mubarak (1928- , born in Kafr-El Meselha). In addition, it is the homeland of the noted Egyptian filmmaker, Mostafa Youssef.

[edit] Date of Establishment:

The mother faculty was established in the academic year of 1980/1981,while the faculty branch in Al-Sadat City was established in the academic year of 2001/2002.

[edit] Faculty Locations:

The mother Faculty is located at the faculties' compound in Shebin El-Kom City. This compound includes(Faculty of commerce , Faculty of Science , Faculty of Art, Faculty of low, and Faculty of Computers and Information ) .

The Faculty branch is located at Al-Sadat City in area number 11.

The Mother Faculty: The building consists of four floors plus the ground floor, the library and the link network room .

The building includes the following :

  • Four big theaters allocated for lectures, with the capacity of 1500 students for each one.
  • 16 classrooms allocated for applications, with the capacity of 120 students for each one .
  • Rooms for the faculty management, academic teaching staff members ,
  • assistant staff and administrative staff .
  • Three computer labs and one language lab.
  • A lovely garden.

  • Two big halls with the capacity of 1500 students for each one.
  • Two rooms for the English study section with the capacity of 150 students for each one.
  • One computer lab.
  • One library.
  • Rooms for the faculty top management, academic teaching staff,
  • assistant staff and administration staff.
  • A wide area as backyard.

The Faculty of Commerce, as one of the faculties of Menoufia University, is an educational, research, and societal institution. The faculty provides excellent graduates who are qualified in terms of knowledge, skills, and professionalism in the areas of management, accounting, economics, insurance, and statistics in order to meet the needs and requirements of the work labor in both the production and services segments at the local, national, and international levels. The faculty also seeks to make the continuous learning opportunities available to its graduates and others through its postgraduate programs and to develop the local and national society via its unique and competent academic staff and employees, by offering high quality services in training, consultancies, and research.
