Albert Frank "Pudgy" Gould (January 20, 1893 - August 8, 1982) was an American League pitcher who played two seasons for the Cleveland Indians. Born in Muscatine, Iowa, he was small in stature, measuring only 5 feet 6 inches in height and weighed a mere 160 pounds.
Reflective of his very short Major League Baseball career, his statistics did not amount to much, but did pitch a complete game shutout on August 2, 1916 against the Philadelphia Athletics [1].
Al passed away on August 8, 1982 in San Jose, California, and was laid to rest at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose [2].
