Al Bumbry

Alonza Benjamin Bumbry (born April 21, 1947 Fredericksburg, VA) was a utility player with a 14 year career from 1972 to 1985. He played for the Baltimore Orioles of the American League and the San Diego Padres of the National League. He predominantly played in the outfield, occasionally starting at third base and as a designated hitter. He batted left and threw right.

He was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1980. He is currently the outfield/baserunning coach for the York Revolution.

His son, Steve, plays for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
