Talk:Al-Anon/Alateen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alateen meetings are generally run by the attending teens themselves. The members of alateen are asked to take on the responsibility for their program. The attending al-anon member is there as an observer /supervisor, not to run the meeting. This is extremely important for the validity of an alateen group, and the growth of its members.
[edit] Lois instead of Lois Wilson
In keeping with the guidelines, I think it would be more appropriate to say Al-Anon was founded by Lois, or Lois W. A key part of Al-Anon (like other 12-step recovery programs) is anonymity. This usually includes not using last names.rich 12:19, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
