Al-Karābilah

Al-Karābilah is a town in Iraq, located at 34°23′1″N, 41°1′51″E near the Syrian border.

In October 2005 the US Army conducted an air raid near the city, claiming to have struck a local Al Qaeda leader, but being accused of killing civilians. The next month the town was assaulted as a part of Operation Steel Curtain.
