Al-Baqara, 256

Verse 256 of Al-Baqara is one of the most quoted verses in the Qur'an

There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tâghût (idol worship) and believes in Allah (i.e. One True God), then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

This verse notes that "there is no compulsion in religion.", a much quoted part of the verse.
